Program Offerings
A complete aquatics program is offered for all ages. Managed by our Aquatics Director, it included private and group swimming lessons, synchronized swimming lessons, diving lessons and competition in all three of these areas. All instructors and lifeguards are Certified Water Saving Instructors. Each summer a club-sponsored awards program stimulates youth participation and improvement. Our teams have won championships in the Des Moines Country Club Swimming League for many years; in 1981, the DMG&CC team won first in Iowa and third in the nation, out of a field of 480 teams, in a national competition conducted by “Swimmers Magazine.” Club aquatics activities are directed by parent-members who are deeply involved and constantly striving to update the program to meet the needs of members and their families.

Facilities Overview
Your family will enjoy our Olympic-size pool, with separate diving area, children’s wading pool and an 18 feature splash-ground surrounded by lawns and sunbathing areas. Lunch and dinner are available in the Cabana located between the tennis courts and the pool. There are both indoor and outdoor dining options at the Cabana as well as an area to grab a quick snack poolside. Shower and locker facilities for youngsters are conveniently located in the lower level of the facility pool house.
